Founding partner Martha Hodgkinson earned a reputation over 36 years of civil litigation practice as a leading construction defect, real estate and professional liability defense litigator. She was recognized as Construction Lawyer of the Year in 2017 and 2019 for Portland, Oregon.
Martha began mediating construction and real estate disputes in 2007 and became a member of the panel of arbitrators for the Arbitration Service of Portland. Martha has mediated almost 1,000 cases and arbitrated many cases both as sole arbitrator or as part of a panel.
Transitioned Her Practice to Full Time Neutral Work in 2022
In 2022 Martha transitioned her practice to full time neutral work as an arbitrator and mediator.
Since 2007 Martha has been mediating all types of disputes since then and found she had the ability to be a dedicated neutral based upon her extensive experience.
Martha draws on this experience in effectively valuing a dispute and helping to craft realistic, reasonable settlements for all participants.
